Is Kibale always the better chimpanzee destination?
Kibale is Uganda’s most developed chimpanzee forest for visitors. Other forests can still be the intelligent extra when they already sit on your route. Match the rest of the safari, not a headline.
Can I combine chimpanzees and gorillas?
Yes. Many itineraries stay at Kibale first, then continue to Bwindi or Mgahinga. They are different animals, permits and landscapes.
Where should I stay for a Kibale chimpanzee day?
Stay close to the forest you booked. For Kibale that means a lodge near Kanyanchu such as Rock Lodge Kibale.
Is habituation automatically better than standard trekking?
It is longer, not automatically better. Choose it if you want more hours in the forest and have the matching permit and fitness.
